Customize the learning experience to match your child’s skill level
Lil’ Clock is an engaging and educational time‑learning game designed to help children learn how to tell time on both analog and digital clocks.
Kids can explore the app independently, but it’s worth it for a parent to take a quick look at the settings to fine‑tune the learning experience.
The parent section is protected with a child lock and includes several helpful tools that let you adjust the difficulty and learning style to suit your child.
Key features and settings in Lil’ Clock:
1. Show minute numbers on the analog clock.
Ideal for children practicing “past” and “to” expressions and improving their time‑telling accuracy.
2. Adjust or disable hints.
You can control how quickly the hint cat appears, or turn hints off entirely to encourage independent problem‑solving.
3. Increase difficulty by hiding hour numbers.
Perfect for kids who are ready for a more advanced time‑learning challenge.
4. Turn off spoken instructions.
This helps children focus on the digital clock displayed on the animal friend’s sign.
5. Choose how time is expressed in English.
Since English offers several ways to say the time, you can select the style that best supports your child’s learning.
For example: It’s half past three, it’s three thirty, it’s fifteen ’til four, it’s quarter to four.
These variations help children understand that English time expressions can sound different even if they mean same thing.
6. Restart progress or unlock all levels.
You can reset the game or open all content at once, depending on your child’s needs.
Color and music settings are intentionally left accessible to kids, allowing them to personalize the game without needing to unlock the parent section.
To help your child get started smoothly, it’s a good idea for a parent to join in for the first few rounds.
Once they understand the concept, they can continue practicing independently.
As they progress, they’ll unlock new animal friends who make learning even more fun. Try tapping them to discover the sounds they make!
Lil’ Clock is a safe, ad‑free kids’ app with no in‑app purchases — a worry‑free learning environment for families.
